The 11th Doctor!

I was once an 11 hater. Well not anymore. Nope!
I am not happy at all with the likeness. I will figure this strange face out one day I suppose.

This is my first time to work with charcoal. Boy is it temperamental! I had the toughest time and it made me miss my graphite and it got EVERYWHERE. But I do like the unique results! And it only took me two days! A million times faster then my graphite pieces. A couple hours yesterday for the Doctor and an hour for the backround today! This certainly won't be my last charcoal piece.

11x6 inches. Drawing Paper, Soft and Medium Charcoal Pencils, tortillon, chamois, kneaded eraser. Reference used. And I will admit I added texture in photoshop to the original backround... I thought it needed something. And while I REALLY don't like mixing traditional and digital methods I do like the way it looks.

The Doctor: "No, I have a thing. It's like a plan, but with more greatness."

River Song: "Yes they're blue: they're the blue stabilizers! See?"
The Doctor: "Yeah? Well, it's boring now, isn't it? They're boring-ers! They're blue... boring-ers!"

Amy:" You threw the manual in a supernova? Why?"
The Doctor: "Because I disagreed with it! Now stop talking to me when I'm cross!"

The Doctor: "Amy Pond, there's something you better understand about me, 'cause it's important and one day your life may depend on it. I am definitely a madman with a box!"
